The contents include a history of printing in civilité types, descriptions of the types, histories of the materials and an appendix with a list of 638 books, published between 1557 and 1874, in which civilité types were employed.

Ex-libris - Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Library. Library markings on the bottom of the spine, on the inner edge of the front cover, printed on the upper spine and inside of the cover. Binding square and tight, corner cloth wore and there is a slight discoloration of blue paper.

Vernon Simpson type specimen collection

Available are two loose-leaf folders containing over 1,100 sheets of photocopied paper copied from Vernon Simpson Typographers Inc (Los Angeles) which contained information and imaging of the typeface specimens in his important and significant collection, foundry, Monotype, wood type, et al. About eleven pounds worth of paper. The price of the collection is $935 (plus shipping and tax if appropriate).

Note some pages are slightly damaged from photocopy transfer or tear of pages [394 through 398].
